To use the iSpaniel application you will need to create users and assign them roles.

These roles control what permissions a user has in the iSpaniel system.  You need a minimum of one user with the Administrator role to use the system, but there are other roles available in the system should you wish to use them to control access to on a 'least permissions' basis.  Role permissions can be accumulated, that is, a user can be in a mixture of roles to grant them the permissions they need.


All roles are as follow:

Administrator Role

Full access to all iSpaniel functions for your company and also allows login to the mobile app.

Asset Administrator

Has the permissions to:

  • View dashboard reports
  • View, edit and delete asset details
  • View, edit and delete asset types
  • View asset map
  • Trace assets by ingredient

Customer Administrator

Has the permissions to:

  • View dashboard reports
  • View, edit and delete customer/pub details

User Administrator

Has the permissions to:

  • View dashboard reports
  • View, edit and delete iSpaniel users

Reporting

Has the permissions to:

  • View dashboard reports
  • View all other reports

Security Audit

Preserved for future use.

Mobile User

Allows the user to login to the iSpaniel Asset Tracking mobile app.
